Play is a two floor style bar and club with a 4am licence Friday and Saturdays and a 2am licence during the week in Clerkenwell-Shoreditch borders in East London near the City. The bar has a retro style with 70s wallpaper and lots of comfortable sofas. We are best known for our hugely popular weekend nights Playtime on Fridays and Playback on Saturdays with the beAst of funky/classic house on the ground floor. However we also have some excellent midweek nights. For more information on what’s on click Play music listings 

Whilst we are free during the week we do charge £5 after 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. However you can take advantage of our free guestlist or if you are a big group our reserved area and private party booking options. Our cocktails and drinks range have been expertly designed by the vastly experienced Andrea Fiorenza from Harry’s Bar and Gareth Lambert from Century. Expect a wide range of cocktails including the Shamrock Express (espresso coffee, butterscotch schnapps, Absolut vodka, Baileys and gomme) and Applesinth (absinthe, apple schnapps, apple juice, fresh lime juice, passion fruit syrup).
